I have an enduring desire to depict the land in such a way that will both evoke an inherent, instictive love of the land and will cause thought about the delicacy and ballance involved in using, perseving and rebuilding it. Wilderness is an utopian ideal, which no longer exists; what we now percieve as wild is rarely truly wild. Ideas such as these lead me to visually explore the iea of what is percieved as a natural environment weighed against our modern technological age.
