My aim is to transform my materials so that they appear to be living substances in states of dynamic activity. Color, line and shape exist to move and breathe; they animate their surfaces. Forms seem lit from within, suggesting energy and states of transition. Ink, marker and paint, handled in a layered process, are the vehicles for this metamorphosis. Natural forms are alluded to and organic environments are evoked without ever being explicitly defined; the viewer is invited to visit this world and enjoy the vibrant ambience to be found in it.
