Brief Biography
Susan Ingraham received a Master of Fine Arts degree at School of Visual Arts in New York. In 1998, Ingraham was awarded a grant from the New York Foundation of the Arts for her works in photography. She attended artist in residence program at the Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculptor, and had a one-person exhibition in Salzburg, Austria. She is a multi-media artist, whether photographic, video, performance, or installational, her work is always invested with personae transformations. Her photographs and videos read as works which toy with the mixed reality, which exists between media and fiction. In the last few years, Ingrahams videos have won grand prizes at the Annual U.S. Super 8mm Film/Video Festivals, Chicks with Flicks Festival, and International Grand Prize atVideochroniques Festival in Marseille, France to name a few. Videochroniques invited her as an artist in residence, during her post-production residency, she completed her latest video "GOescarGO". Her work was recently shown at Cinema le Miror in Marseille, France, Miami Beach Cinematheque, and "GOescarGO" was screened along with Bertolucci’s "Dreamer’s" at the International New Jersey Film Festival.
