In my work I synthesize fragments of shape, line, and pattern observed in both the organic and man-made structures that surround me to create a personal language of form and space. Flow charts and highway interchanges intermingle with the branching patterns of our vascular system and the cellulose tissues of plants. I am interested in observing and exploring the similarities and differences of these varying morphologies of form on both microcosmic and macrocosmic scales and in blurring the lines between them in densely complex compositions of contrasting colors and textures. It is here I find I can articulate a more internal sense of space that suggests familiar but also uncharted territories of thought.
