I am a sculptor whose interests range from constructing installation-based spaces that provoke a visceral reaction to creating hand-made, craft-based sculptures that address notions of vulnerability. I aim to manipulate the viewer’s proximal space and increase their awareness of their body.
My art-making practice explores the psychologically charged; tactile experiences that form our day-to-day lives. These common, daily occurrences provide both the structural and visual keys that allow and inspire my work.

By selectively editing and transforming some of these seemingly mundane experiences into my work, I am able to examine my relationship between one’s physical body and the constricted/confining structure of the urban setting.
When appropriate, my installation work employs a dramatic sense of scale and aims to provide an emotionally charged, sensual experience for the viewer. The spaces create a powerful tension between contradictory states of physical immersion and emotional distance.
