I collect photographs of news events, often disasters, whose effects interest me. Iam interested in extreme moments of technological and cultural breakdown that cause usto question the promise of the future. Through painting these moments, I become more aware of my own dreams and fears of modernism and technology within our culture: theprocess of painting is the filtering of these dreams and fears into the painting.
